Dear Middle School Students and Parents:
Welcome Back!!!
If you are like me, the summer has gone by extremely fast, but I am very excited to start the 22-23 school. While last year was very challenging, there are many excited things going on at Fieldcrest Middle School. The building project continues to move along well and will be amazing for students and staff when completed. When students return the cafeteria, locker rooms, parking lot and other minor updates are scheduled to be completed.
Throughout the year, there will be work to complete the administration portion of the middle school. The FMS main office will be temporarily located Rm. 1014. Access to the main office will be in North West corner of the building. (Old Playground Area) Students access and bus drop-off will be updated when park lot resurfacing is completed.
We will begin the year by adding two new staff members to our building. Mrs. RaeAnne Switzer will be joining our Special Education department. We also have two new Teacher Assistants. FMS is excited to welcome Emma Catlin and Ryan Barth to the TA staff.
Fieldcrest Middle School has made a few changes to the schedule for the upcoming 22-23 school year. Both ELA and Math will be running a 85 minute block schedule each day, while other classes will run at 85 minutes on an A/B day schedule. FMS will be hosting a 6th grade students, new students, and parents open house on August 22 at 6:00pm in the large gym to help students and parents with transition to the middle school.
Registration begins July 1 via our online student management system, TeacherEase. All forms are included in a digital or downloadable format. Registration will close on August 12th, and fees will be applied on August 13th. School offices officially open on August 9th. Walk-in registration support will take place at each school on August 11th, and 12th from 9am-12pm. If a student is new to a building but already attends in-district, please do not use new student registration. If a student plans on participating in school activity or sport, please make sure the student is registered on FMS Athletic 8 to 18 website and that they have a current up to date physical on file with Fieldcrest Middle School. (Physicals are good for 13 months)
